Inkscape 0.47 contest entry by sko Inkscape 0.47 contest entry by sko
This is my humble entry for the Inkscape 0.47 "about" screen contest.

I actually made most of it for an earlier run of the contest (don't remember which one) but never got around to finishing it. I realise it probably doesn't use any of the really new features of 0.47, but anyway.

Hope it isn't too complex :)

To what degree does inkscape support 3d ?

As far as I know there's still only very simple 3d box support. I didn't use that for this picture though.

I love how you put the tools together like that.
Kudos.

I'm new to vectors and Inkscape, and I don't have any impressive works (seriously, just experimenting with layering simple shapes together [link] ), but I hope to get more skilled (or at least find the focus to get more skilled) soon.

I love it.

Congrads, the image looks fantastic, very sleek!... However the text is a bit ugly IMHO. :(

Certainly, it's released under a Creative Commons license so it's free to use for any purpose (I think?) You can see the details of the license if you click the link under the image.

I don't know about the Inkscape logo and text, but you could remove it if you want. "Remixing" is allowed by the license.

I'd buy that Bezier pen, if only it existed in real life. Curves and curve editing have been two of my best friends in Inkscape and GIMP for a long time.

Congrats on the win! Looking forward to 0.47, as the date draws near...
